Network Marketing - You Need To Interview Your Prospects
How often have you heard someone say that to succeed in network marketing you have to get as many people as you can to join? Well, that is partially true. If you are a serious work-at-home Mom you know that you don't want just anybody, nor do you really want to just ask anybody. The reason for this is that not everyone is smart enough to understand how network marketing really works so you will receive many more objections than you would like.
I have been in network marketing now for several years and have spoken to hundreds of people about joining my opportunity only to find that it was literally wearing me down. All of the ridiculous objections and excuses were getting the better of me and I was wondering if I was doing the right thing or not. I realized that it was not worth it having these negative individuals distract me from realizing my dreams so I tried to figure out a better way to prospect and get in touch with a higher quality person, one who is intelligent enough to realize how important a residual income is in a world where job security and Social Security can no longer be counted on to work as they originally had been intended to work.
I decided to interview my prospects instead of just asking them to join my opportunity. First I ran an ad targeted to the type of person that I was looking for and when I got responses I interviewed them right over the phone. I immediately eliminated the people who seemed as though they were looking for something for nothing, and others who had no money to start a business of their own. Yes, network marketing opportunities, like any other business requires some money to get started. Not the hundreds of thousands of dollars like a franchise needs to start, network marketing only requires a couple of hundred bucks making it affordable to anyone who wants to put forth the effort to run their own business.
You may, if you dare, buy leads from a leads vendor and call them up to present your business opportunity, but be sure to interview them also, because my experience with leads that they are people usually looking for something for nothing. They have let their lives spin out of control for so long now they are broke and waiting for someone else to bail them out. Out of a two hundred leads package you may find one good one. The rest will be the ones who are looking for a job not a business. They could never run a business because they aren't smart enough to even know what the difference between a business and a job is.
So, in a nutshell, interview your prospects and make sure they are people you would like to work with, because you will be working closely with people you bring into the business.
